When you have the luxury of traveling around the country in your RV you have the option to go pretty much anywhere to celebrate the holidays. You could head East to New Your City to see the ball drop, you could head West to watch fireworks over the San Francisco Bay…. You could, but you probably won't since cities aren’t the most accommodating for your humble abode. So where should you ring in 2019? Here’s just a few of our favorite spots.
If you love live music and attending concerts in the great outdoors, this will be the pace to be on New Year’s Eve. This year’s NYE party music is described as “Rock-n-Roll, a splash of Country, Disco and Pop with the Incredible Kip Sweeny”. By the sounds of it, no matter what style of music you’re into, Kip’s got your covered. For a more low-key, romantic destination consider taking a few nights to camp in the gorgeous Zion National Park. Rumor has it that most tourist wait until the warmer season to visit, but we’re not sure why, because as you can see, it’s absolutely stunning in the winter. Keep that on the down low though because when you visit this NYE you’ll enjoy taking in the peacefulness as you explore. In this location you’ll want to make a weekend out of it so you have time to camp and hike because when NYE rolls around you’re definitely going to want to join the party at Zion National Park Lodge. They have put together a celebratory package that includes a night with them in the hotel, cabin, or suite, a social hour with the rest of the guests (who doesn’t need more camping buddies?!) a champagne toast at midnight AND a breakfast buffet for you and your sweets to kick the new year off right. If you love getting together with people who have the same passion for camping as you do, Xscaper’s New Year’s Eve Meet-Up is exactly where you need to be. Their first NYE meet up was set in the RV community of Quartzsite, AZ but in just 3 years it’s outgrown that space and will now be held between there and Lake Havasu, AZ in a location so untouched they give you the coordinates instead of an address.
