Spring is coming and for an RV lover, that means it's almost time to hit the road. But before you set out on a big adventure you will have to prepare your RV for what's ahead. But don't worry, we're here to help!

  1. First, you will definitely want to thoroughly inspect not only the interior of the RV but the exterior as well. Make sure everything looks weatherproofed and no pesky rodents have wrecked your RV while it's been in storage. Hopefully you winterized well but if not, you'll just have a little extra work to do now.
  2. Once you have finished your inspection, give the RV a nice wash. This will help get all the grime off from storage and then you will be able to head down the road feeling clean!
  3. If you have the outside looking good, it's time to tackle the inside. Open up the windows and the doors and get the air flowing. Airing out the RV is a big step in your cleaning tasks inside. And while you're cleaning, sync your speaker to your phone and listen to some music to make sure that works too! Get out the vacuum and clean up any thing that may have been left behind before you winterized and the dust that accumulates from sitting empty all winter.
  4. Checking your fluids and connections is also a vital part in spring prep. Making sure fluids are new and full and checking connections will help make sure your time spent away is enjoyable. Also be sure to check out your appliances and even your LP tank. Make sure everything is working properly before you head out.
  5. You will also want to be sure to change the oil and filter and check the battery. This is key in keeping up on the maintenance of your RV. No one likes to be broken down on the side of the road when you're on your RV-cation.
  6. Make sure you double check your smoke detectors and your carbon monoxide detectors. The batteries may drain over the winter and you want to make sure you're keeping your family safe.
  7. This task is one that some people forget. ALWAYS make sure that your first aid kit is stocked up and you've got a roadside emergency kit in the RV in case you break down.
  8. Lastly, be sure to make of list of what food items you will need and what personal hygiene products you need for your RV home. It's best to have a set that is dedicated to your RV so you aren't having to remember everything each time you take a road-trip.

If you've accomplished the above tasks, then it's safe to say your are RV ready! If you're looking for even more great tips on how to prep the RV check out our Pinterest boards! Happy travels and enjoy all of your adventures this season!
